I just thought I'd post this as I cannot see what the point of it is.

Is this meant to show that psychics have some special gift or are just stupid fantasists?

Beats me what that's supposed to mean - the story just stops in mid-flow. Very odd.

Just supposing for a second that reincarnation is real - what is the probability of meeting the same "soul" repeatedly over several consecutive lifetimes? The world's population is over 6 billion, and even if you met on average one new person a day you would not meet more than 25,000 or so people in a lifetime. Chances of meeting the same one repeatedly is not going to be big :)

Weird.
I read it as a short story where a 'fortune teller' dupes this woman all so that she can reveal she's been having an affair with her man.

Stupid story anyway.

As to reincarnation, if we have all had several previous lives where were all the people?

Apart from blips due to the black death, the human population has been growing exponentially so if you do the maths, there were never enough people in the past to give us all previous lives.

That doesn't stop them making the claims though. ::)

Really John, how could you not realise? All these new people have come from incarnations further down the evolutionary chain in previous lifetimes.

In some cases, a lot lower down. Creationists for instance, are probably reincarnated dinosaurs

;D ;D ;D

They made it that far?!? :o I'd have thought a brain the size of a walnut is a step up for them ;)
