Did anyone see it?

I missed the start of it but saw the bit at the end with Prof. Chris French and psychic Gordon Smith.

Chris did an excellent job of representing skepticism on TV; not allowing himself to be cast as a naysayer but as someone who's genuinely interested in paranormal experiences and looking for answers.

TM did a phone-in poll and it was 98% to 2% in the belief in the paranormal. Chris had predicted this beforehand apparently ;D

Wasn't this Gordon Smith chap featured in the BBC series documentary Medium(s)?

Was he the bloke that was part of a spiritualist church and didn't insist on any renumeration for his efforts?

Yes that was Gordon Smith the 'psychic barber'.

IMO he's the psychic who's best at coming across well on TV. He claims that he doesn't charge for private readings (the appeal to sanctimony? ???) but I'm not sure whether he says how many he gives.

Of course he makes money from books, tours and he will have been paid quite well when he was appearing on Most Haunted - something that didn't do his credibility any good.

On face value, he does seem a cut above the rest
