    Odd message from Amazon

I recently bought a copy of the latest Chambers Dictionary for a friend. I received this message today from Amazon.

Sorry, but I don't get the connection.........

    Greetings from Amazon.co.uk,

We've noticed that customers who have expressed interest in The Chambers Dictionary by Editors of Chambers have also ordered Miracle Juices: Over 40 Juices for a Healthy Life by Charmaine Yabsley. For this reason, you might like to know that this book is now available. You can order your copy for just £3.99 (33% off the RRP) by following the link below

    Am I missing something...............?

Where's the confusion? Customers who buy book X also buy book Y, you buy book X, Amazon suggest book Y based on past trends.

You might wonder why customers who like book X also want book Y, but that's not Amazon's problem.

    Buy more stuff :)

It helps refine their profile of you (and as long as your using the UKS link John won't mind either )
Defendants might as well have said: Beneficent creatures from the 17th dimension use this bracelet as a beacon to locate people who need pain relief and whisk them off to their home world every night to provide help in ways unknown to our science.

It looks like some quirk in their system or perhaps that is the book that correlates most strongly with sales of the dictionary.

And yes our book store is here: http://www.ukskeptics.com/bookstore.php

And a direct affiliate link is here: Amazon direct link

Commission is only around 4% but we're getting between £20 and £40 a month from it so it does make a difference to UKS.

Some people must be rather fond of flicking through their dictionary awhile sipping some miracle juice.
