I have seen explanations before as to why spirits speak in the same language as the host, although they escape me at the moment.
I think it must be down to the same process that allows a medium to be very good at guessing names with an audience of their nationality as opposed to a foreign audience.
Sally Morgan or Colin Fry with an audience of Tibetans? I doubt it would work.

Well, good old Abraham has been talking about the 1969 moon-landing.
But as some of us expected,A well spoken chap to my left wanted to know about the moon landing in 1969. Replying to the questions in succinct manner at the same time as ‘conducting’ the psychic surgery was an extraordinary sight to see. Gary would be relatively impotent if people stopped buying tickets to see the big show. So what is the draw? Is he targeting the vulnerable or just plain stupid? I'm not sure whether I should be sympathetic or just disgusted when I read such things.
Ryoden brought up Gary's one and only redeeming quality perhaps, and that is his entertainment value. While I find Gary mildly amusing and downright ridiculous, I find Annabel absolutely alarming.
