My advice is that trying to get diagnosis over internet forums isn't a sensible thing to do.
Get the scans and see what the professionals say
7 months ago i was assaulted and suffered concussion, i was unconcious for a few minutes. I was taken to casualty where i was "examined" by a doctor then allowed to go home being told my symptoms should clear up within a few hours/days.
About 3 weeks after this many of my symptoms were still very much there such as headaches(which were worse than at the start at this point!), dizziness, sick feeling, sleep disturbance etc. I was given pain kileers and then told it can take a few months to clear up.
This continued for a while so i continued to keep visiting my GP as the headaches especially were getting agonising and really affecting my life.
Now, at this point, almost 8 months later, my headaches are debilitating me and have stopped me working, socialising and everything!
The pain is hard to explain but ill try...sometimes i feel great tension and pressure, its there everyday now, feels like my head is going to explode and i get like rushes of blood to my head feeling. Ive noticed my eyes sometimes feeling weak now aswell as if their struggling to focus.
Anyway i havent had a CT or MRI or anything like that o even been able to talk to a nuerologist as of yet!?! I have managed to get a CT scan arranged for next week after a 7 week wait. im on loads of tablets and im only 20!
Has anybody had any experience with this kind of thing? Or any ideas about what could be wrong with me?
This is really frightening me as the longer its being left the worse its getting, please any advice would be so gratefully received!!!!!!
Thanks for taking the time to read my boring story!

Defendants might as well have said: Beneficent creatures from the 17th dimension use this bracelet as a beacon to locate people who need pain relief and whisk them off to their home world every night to provide help in ways unknown to our science.

I am not "trying to get the diagnosis" over the internet!!!!!
You clearly do not understand what i have been through!
Im merely interested in speaking to people who have maybe been in the same position as myself or know a little about the issue.
I am getting the tests done and im on medication so obviously not here for the diagnosis!
Why would you think a sceptical forum in particular would be able to assist you?
De omnibus dubitandum
With all due respect, (if I may) Mongrel was suggesting that no kind of health diagnosis, "advice" or prescription/prognosis is worthwhile over the Net. I agree.
I have a close, personal friend (a doctor), who works a two-hour drive from my place. His knowledge is top-shelf (he is a professor at Harvard); but he won't share it unless I come to his office for evaluation.
Over the Net, nobody can examine you; and you do not know if you are hearing from a crank.
I wish you a speedy recovery, and I sincerely advise you to only get information from professionals with first-hand knowledge of your situation.
Someone may have experienced the same as myself.
I can comment here on anything health related just like you.
Don't know anything about my topic?
Say nothing!
Move on and comment on something you know something about...
Well, I haven't experienced anything like what you are describing, but even if I had, two identical symptoms do not necessarily have two identical causes.
This probably isn't the ideal place to find other victims of head trauma, perhaps you would be more likely to find people who have been through the same thing on a support website for victims of assault or head trauma? A skeptic's forum is no more like to have people in your position as any other niche interest forum, perhaps you need a website which is specifically for the sort of person you're seeking. There's no reason to think anyone here would know anything about it, sorry.
errrm...a bunch of people, posting in a general health forum.
who knows?
The only advice we can give is to either go back to your GP and insist on a referral to a specialist or if you're not happy with your current GP, ask to see another one.
This forum has few rules and restrictions but the giving of medical advice would not be allowed - the potential for harm is too great.
Also, we do get a little suspicious of people who come onto skeptical forums claiming ailments that their GP, the NHS, or conventional medicine has not been able to cure and/or has not taken them seriously.
Such posts are often a primer for the same person to come back on a week or so later claiming to have seen a chiropractor, acupuncturist, homeopath, crystal healer or some other quack and claim to be cured.
So forgive our, well, scepticism!
.
Yes, I can see why you think this is the place to discuss your health issues, however I should clarify that as a skeptic forum we discuss things like health from a skeptical perspective, e.g. the latest developments in the battle against homeopathy, whether ear candling is dangerous, what the placebo effect is, that sort of thing. If you look at the majority of threads in this section you'll see what I mean.
