    HD TV

Does anyone else find the adverts incredibly amusing? I just can't quite get over the silliness of trying to show off how amazingly good the picture on an HD TV can get by showing you pictures on a normal TV.
    Better sorry than safe.

Well if they could demonstrate it then it would remove the need to buy one.

And if you want people to think you have an expensive HD TV just record those adverts and play them back when the neighbours visit.

Do they improve the quality of the programmes?

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear
bright, until you hear them speak.

all you need to do is ask them to step back from the TV, and then show them a quarter of the image.

What suprises me more is that shops like tesco extra don't run their HD tvs in HD. You'd have thought that for such a high turnover store, it would have been well worth investing in an HD source.

Then again, people might then assume that they'd get that picture with standard terrestrial TV.

Well, part of the problem is that there are about two channels that are actually in HD and they're both crap, so I doubt Tesco want to scare their customers away.
