Thread: I caught some orbs!

    I caught some orbs!

Looking through some old photos today, I realised I've actually caught some genuine orbs on camera. Not only that, they were in a tomb, so they must be real spirit orbs, not the kind caused by a combination of dust and digital camera flashes.

Photo is from a tomb at the Tomb of the Kings site in Paphos, Cyprus.

Or, since Orchis is Greek for witness, on the grounds that it really means testicle (i.e. a witness to paternity or fertility) ... it's a load of bollocks!

    Sorry ...

Don't be sorry, I've learnt a new word to use :)

I'm afraid you are a bit wrong here, DrS. Orchis only means testicle in Greek, and bollocks in the plural. It is only in Latin that testicle means little witness.
By the way, if anyone wants to know why an orchid is thus named, dig it up and observe its dual bulbs with little hairy roots.

Spartans? in Cyprus? What a discovery. That must be worth another academic paper on Greek history.

Yes, quite true. My confusion! Still bollocks though!
