All anecdotal. Unless she can actually provide some evidence to her claims, feel free to choose which ever title you see fit for her. Attention seeker or a loony, they would both fit.
hi i used to know a woman who made many weird claims,,is she attention seeker or a loony,
she has books on witchcraft and she claimed to belive in it.
she claimed to have had several weird attacks at night from dark figures.
such as there was four dark shadowy figure standing around her bed and her bed was rocking and she felt like she could not move,
another one was her bed was spinning,
she says she has felt the presence of ghosts in her house and has heard someone in her house who she thought at first was her husband but she discovered her husband was elsewhere in the house,
and there was no human intruders.
also she told me that where she works, there is a phone in the basement and she has heard it ringing and she has picked it up and heard the voice of mary who is said to be a woman who worked there a very long time ago because the building is very old and mary is said to have died in the building,
im not sure if the phone was conected or not,
and theres more!
she claims to have had happen to her what people in the paranormal know called aports,
and she said she had a bracelet vanish in her bedroom, and this was after her last husband had left her so i dont think there would have been anyone else in the house,
she said she searched everywhere and pulled everything out of her wardrobes and never found the bracelet, but several months later she says she found the chain style bracelet on the fireplace laid out in a perfect line and of course she said it was not there before,
and she has also said she has found another bracelet that was not hers in her house,
and a few points about her,her favourate choice of flim is horror and she drinks so much she sometimes does things she regrets,i should know,
so i would like to know what anyone thinks about this
All anecdotal. Unless she can actually provide some evidence to her claims, feel free to choose which ever title you see fit for her. Attention seeker or a loony, they would both fit.
yes they would both fit but compusive lier would fit to,and once when she was at my house i found a dimond on the floor and i thought i had no idea where it could have come from and she said it must have been aported,
i found out later that it had fallen out of a picture frame,
The above is a perfect description of sleep paralysis.

If the woman was having these kind of experiences, and interpreting them as paranormal events, then it might not be too much of a stretch to see why she would be predisposed to view other, everyday, occurences as paranormal.
If you are in contact with this person, Jamiefox, you might consider suggesting to her that she reads a little about sleep paralysis, or perhaps recommend that she chats to her doctor about it.

I agree about the sleep paralysis. As to the bracelet: things wink in and out of existence all the time, in my house. I tend to believe this is because I am untidy and sometimes absent minded. It happens more frequently when I am drunk, for some odd reason![]()
I attribute it to the malign nature of the inanimate world.

Les choses sont contre nous!
The style as we like is the humdrum.
im not in contact with anymore but i can tell someone else who knows her.
i just think she drinks to much.
i wouldnt call her an attention seeker or a loony, her veiws are held by many people.
Reading books on things like witchcraft doesnt make you a loony, it means you have an interest in an aspect of human culture, believing in it doesnt necessarily mean you are a fruitcake either, though it might have alot to do with where and how you where btrought up and which social circles you move in.
Her weird nightime experiences arent that weird, in fact I would say they are quite common, indeed Ive experienced similar things myself, though wether they are caused by spirits is another matter....
Also, nothing wrong with a good horror movie.![]()
i am a skeptic,,ghost and spirits dont exsist full stop,,and i watch loads of horror films but i dont have nightmares about them,
You have made a logical fallacy. That is a flaw in your reasoning.
Look at the link if you wish to know more.
http://www.logicalfallacies.info/arg...ignorance.html
The mistake you are making is placing the burden of proof on the wrong side.
It is up to those claiming the existence of spirits to prove they exist.
If I were to make the claim that I am a rabbit, it would not be true just because you are unable to disprove it. It would be up to me to support my claim.
Worst signature ever.
That logical fallacy is one I hear all the time...you know how it goes "science can't disprove there is a god, therefore there must be a god" and so on and so forth.
It's pretty similar in our criminal justice system. The prosecution has to prove that the accused is guilty because they were the one making the claim. If it were up to the accused to prove that they were not guilty while the prosecution could sit back and do nothing, then we'd be back in the days of witch dunking.
