I have something very like that, but with added lightbulb, hanging up in my spare bedroom..

But then again "The Liberator" in Blakes 7 was made up out of old hairdryers or something, so maybe I shouldn't be judgemental...

there is a program you can get for free on linux operating systems that is used by pros for effects work on flims,
its call cine-paint and im guessing with pratice anyone could use it to fake anything on any picture,,

like on you tube there are loads of vids of 9/11 and many feature faces in the smoke and theres a couple that show one of the airplaces firing a missile into the tower at the last second,
if all this rubbush can be faked anyone could do fake ghosts,
