The term Angel Therapy® was coined by America’s “Angel Lady” Doreen Virtue with whom I was guided to study. Doreen is an amazing woman who has had the courage to follow her path despite what others may think and in doing this, has led countless others to do the same – myself included! * I am a certified Angel Therapy Practitioner® and was trained by Doreen Virtue in Glastonbury in 2005.
* I hold a BA degree in Psychology from the University of South Africa and a Diploma in Pet Psychology from the British School of Yoga.
* I am a certified Animal Communication Practitioner.
* I have studied Spiritual Healing with the National Federation of Spiritual Healers and am a Probationer Member.
* I have been initiated into the First and Second Degrees of Usui Shiki Ryoho (the Usui System of Reiki Healing).
* I have studied Crystal Healing through the School of Natural Health Sciences and I hold a Diploma in this.
* I have studied basic Canine First Aid and Canine Massage and an intermediate course in Canine Psychology.
* I have trained in Emergency First Aid with St. John's Ambulance.

Wow! A First Aid Certificate. How unrare is that?

She seems to offer a combination of animal healing and introducing people to angels.

As we would expect, there is a disclaimer.

Sue Walsh does not diagnose, prescribe, treat, cure, or heal any physical, mental, or emotional illness. She is not a physician or psychologist.

Sue always recommends that her clients seek appropriate medical or professional help and that animals are always seen by a Veterinary Surgeon.

Then there is the usual nonsense about energy healing.

Energy healing is the process in which a healer acts as a channel or conduit for the beneficial energy which is found in all beings (and which is the energy which our bodies use to self-heal and rejuvenate). By working with the body's bio-energetic field (aura) and energy centres (chakras) the healer boosts the body's natural healing processes - much like charging a flat battery. Healing clears blockages in the energy field and brings it into balance so that it can function harmoniously once more.

During the healing session you will lie down, fully clothed, on the healing table and I will channel energy to you by working with your chakras and aura and by placing my hands above and on your body (shoulders, arms, legs and feet).

If I am giving your animal healing, I will work with their charkas and aura to clear blockages and to boost their body's natural self-healing process however the how long the healing session lasts is entirely dependent on your animal.

So is this a Mannion-type treatment for dogs? Oh, and "charkas"?

And isn't she just a darling? She offers angel parties.

Because I just love talking about angels and I feel that it’s so important for more and more people to discover angels, I do not require a minimum number of attendees however, if there are less than three guests, I do ask the host(ess) to contribute £10 towards their reading. I am also grateful to be reimbursed for my travelling expenses to all parties.
It’s your special day, so we can be somewhat flexible on the arrangements and we can discuss the finer detail when you book the party.
Here is a basic guidance / outline for hosting an angel party:-

Integrated Companionship Therapy or ICT is a process which I am currently developing whereby both the pet and their owner receive healing treatments that are suitable to each of them thereby healing all the systems in the relationship and not just one part of it.

She sounds totally gorgeous to me. You know, if I had a pet, I really do think I would give it a go.......................

Surely we could round up at least 8 or 9 of us from here alone. Okay, granted some of us here in particular are a bit more discerning or skeptical shall we say, so we might be lucky if we even make the minimum requirement of 3.

For many years, BSY has been an active member of the Parliamentary Group for Integrated and Complementary Medicine. We attend the House of Commons for meetings under the chairmanship of Mr David Treddinnick MP and keep abreast at all times of the latest developments and proposals which may affect complementary medicine.

I'm not sure if I've come across David Tredinnick MP, but

I think this is subtle proof that Tredinnick isn’t exactly a man with a firm grasp of the physical sciences. I can barely bring myself to mock the thought processes of a man who appears so credulous. But then he goes on to say this which is perilously close to a falsehood:

the Royal London Homeopathic hospital has conducted more than 130 randomised and controlled trials of homeopathic treatments that show very effective results, so surely it is in the Department’s interests to make sure that those results are publicised to PCTs.

Now there is no evidence for the existence of these 130 trials, not least in the Complementary and Alternative Medicine Specialist Library, whose own evidence base has been skilfully dissected and exposed by apgaylard, which reports a mere 40 or so trials. Is David Tredinnick deliberately lying or is he simply mistaken? Personally I opt for idiocy over deception. There is ample evidence elsewhere in his speech for this.

She has a lot of nice products for sale though: I bet you can get them at a discount at the party.

I did find this quite puzzling though:

Doreen Virtue reveals how vows of poverty, celibacy, and suffering made in prior lives can follow us into this life; and how to sever such vows.

Does this mean that people on benefits are not there because they cannot get a job? They are just unable to help themselves seeking a life of poverty? Am I to assume that doctors who deal with impotence are on the wrong track? And I am a bit confused about a vow of suffering - I take it this means those folk who flog themselves? How can we recognise the ones who did this in a past life? do they have a very unfortunate twitch?

I think folk attracted to the priesthood should be told that this is not just a decision for one lifetime, too. They are bound to be disappointed if there is neither heaven nor a fresh start. I can really see why Doreen's virtue is a beacon of light in a dark and disappointing world

Ahh, Doreen Virtue, ive noticed shes dropped the PhD from the end of her name now, maybe she got her wrist slapped from some official somewhere who has an axe to grind against graduates from the quacky duck university in the land of make believe.

This woman is a complete flake, though i did enjoy her "angel guidance board" just because it was so deliciously blasphemous if nothing else.

Personally i actually quite like angels, their mythos is actually much, much more creative and interesting than what new agers like Ms Virtue give them credit for. Forget slightly effeminate beings of light poncing around your grandmothers deathbed and fairying about with your quartz crystal collection.
Think more behemoth proportioned multiwinged serpents of flame, giant shreiking four headed monsters and burning wheels covered in human eyes rising up out of the desert, people quaking in terror as they wreck havoc reducing entire cities to ash and utter bizarre apocalyptic prophesies.....way cooler than the over fed fairies of doreens imagination.
