    Bigfoot body

Hmmm! Watch this space and remember Ray Santilli ...

NB: The site is being hit heavily and may require a few refreshes to get it.

The cryptomundo site doesn't seem to be accessible presumably, as you say, due to heavy traffic. I googled and found this on the Discovery Channel site, though -

Be interesting to see if/how this develops.

    Re: Bigfoot body

They're discussing it on the JREF forum and have turned up a bigfoot fancy dress costume with a face that looks exactly like the one in the freezer.

It's amazing how all these people have been hunting bigfoot for all this time without a detailed photograph and yet costume makers had the details off pat.

There's also some talk about the guts not looking likw they should for an ape but I can't put too much weight on that because I no-one really knows what bigfoot intestines are supposed to look like.

They're not showing the body which is bound to make us suspicious but I can't wait to see what they've got up their sleeve for the DNA testing.

I've been looking into a a little, over the last hour or so, and it seems that there is to be a press conference sometime today.

As you say, Matt, I've been reading that DNA evidence is to be presented, but I wonder where the body currently is? Surely, after such a momentous discovery, one would show the body in its entirety and immediately silence any doubters? That would be my priority, anyway.

I remain skeptical, to say the least...

Okay, I'm not getting it. This has hoax written all over it; all they've produced is a couple of very bad pictures and some vague claims about DNA testing. Unlike the Santilli nonsense though, these guys actually claim to be in possession of the body. What's supposed to happen next? They either put up or shut up. I don't see how the hoax is supposed to pay off for them.

All I can imagine is that this started as a 'bit of fun' for the guys who originally claimed to have found the bigfoot, then the game got bigger than they expected. Not sure I can see another plausible scenario in this?

The original had "for entertainment purposes only" stamped all over it. Then it was bought out by a big foot big wig and touted as genuine. The only pupose that might serve could be to get the narcicists name in the paper along with his imaginary (but nonetheless moderately lucrative) friend.

If the front page on every newspaper in the world carried an expose of this as a hoax tommorow there'd still be people convinced that this was real and the expose would do nothing but generate publicity (and web traffic, business and donations) for these types. Face it we can't win.

Still like you say pretty harmless, this isn't alt med and anti vaxxers here, just a few crypto zoologist who actually have the potential to be right occassionally. The discovery of Homo floresiensis fossils from 12,000 years ago, for example gives credence to the possiblity that more recent tales of Ebu Gogu, a similar humanoid cryptid might be based in fact.

From the Museum of Hoaxes (http://www.museumofhoaxes.com/hoax/w...comments/5407/):

"Meanwhile, Bigfoot promoter Tom Biscardi, who paid Georgia "Bigfoot trackers" Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer $50,000 for the body, is trying to pass himself off as the victim of a scam. And Whitton and Dyer are trying to portray themselves as clever pranksters. My sense is that they were all out to make a buck."
