The Quest for the Ultimate Conspiracy Theory

I suggest the ultimate conspiracy theory would be that the Hadron Collider had actually created a Black Hole such that our planet (etc, etc) was instantly destroyed, but that the New World Order had covered this up so that we thought nothing much had happened.

Is there a greater conspiracy theory beyond this one?

I am sure that together we can construct the ultimate conspiracy theory...

Re: The Quest for the Ultimate Conspiracy Theory

The greatest conspiracy is surely the one that creates lots of conspiracy theories, so that we all think we are so clever because we know what's really going on. Meanwhile the real conspiracies go on in the background and we know nothing about them.

(I'm only half joking about this ... )

Can religion be classed as a conspiracy? If so I propose it as the greatest conspiracy of all time. OR maybe just the biggest con...

The greatest conspiracy theory must be one that does not necessarily seek to explain a covered-up event that happens to be of immense scope, but rather one that attempts to explain every unexplained event. Illuminati, perhaps?

Not to be left out, skeptics should form their own conspiracy - plenty of people already believe we are a conspiracy anyway.

    Surely...

The Beginning

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

St John came along rather later - just a bit player in the conspiracy.

Nah, Creating the Heavens and the earths wasn't the conspiracy, getting Terry bloody Christian a job was, it was probably something to do with his family ties...

Isn't there some evidence the the govt have been happy for the UFO conspiracy to keep going because it basically keeps the loons away from more sensitive things that are really going on at airbases etc? Or is that just a government conspiracy to make me think that!
Mousse from a bowl is very nice, but to put it on a person is demented!

When spraying of DDT stopped in Ceylon (present day Sri Lanka), malaria cases rose from 17 in 1963 to 2.5 goddamn million in 1969. But, hey at least there's a lot more Mosquitoes around.

All though the possibility exists that there is intelligent life in the universe, all we know is that there is none here.
