Mystic Meg wins the lottery for woman

In theory 1/12th of the people playing the lottery should have won? (assuming a random distribution of birth dates)

THRILLED Maureen Bywater scooped £250,000 just hours after her Mystic Meg horoscope advised she should go and buy a lottery ticket.
Incredibly, the six Thunderball numbers selected for her by Lucky Dip were the same family birthdays and anniversaries she ditched years ago as UNLUCKY.

Retired barmaid Maureen, 64, said yesterday: “I can’t thank The Sun and Mystic Meg enough. She is just brilliant. I haven’t slept since.”

Scorpio Maureen and hubby Eddie, 67, from Rotherham, South Yorks, are now planning a holiday in Spain.

They also intend to treat their two children and grandkids.

Mousse from a bowl is very nice, but to put it on a person is demented!

And with ~8 million readers, that means that 750,000 would have been advised to spend £1 on a ticket, and one person won £250,000...

Still, I suppose "Mystic Meg advised nearly 3/4 of a million people to waste a pound!!!" wouldn't have been much of a headline.

The only mystery here is why the woman is choosing Spain as her holiday destination; the exchange rate is terrible.
