i have tried several times on differnt dates ,every time i try posting i get the box that says i am not loged in.
this is the only post that i have this problem with as you can clearly see, very strange .
Are they long posts that you're trying to make?
When logging in do you tick the tab that keeps you automatically logged in? If not then you are automatically logged out after around 10, 15 min or so. This may be what is happening

I had all kinds of strangeness on a different forum (also running vBulletin) when my browser went and got its cookies in a twist.
I sometimes get the log in box for no apparent reason. I just log in again, and usually it's fine. Are you sure that isn't just what's happeneing, hyundisonata?

very strange i can now post on the thread, i have been trying since my last post on the 26th of jan and for some odd reason it now works for me.
oops looks like i was wrong as it is still doing it but with the lucifer project thread now lol so i will stick my reply here .
Mat I might have guessed you where a fan of Phil Plait lol, no doubt like Phil you worship the god NASA who never puts a foot wrong and can do no evil.
By the way if you intend to humiliate someone then research the facts, NASA extended Cassini mission by three to four years so if the Lucifer project is right or wrong we will have to wait a few years yet for the answer.

Also, are you using IE, Firefox, Crome or another browser?
I find Firefox & Crome far less problematic than IE. Though for a certain virtual bathroom design site, I find I need to use IE7.
You could try clearing your cookies (you'll loose all automatic logins) and logging in again.

You're not locked out.
It might be a cookie problem as mentioned.
Are you using the url: www.ukskeptics.com/forum/ ?
That's the best one to use. So it might be worth clearing all the domain's cookies and then using that address.
Otherwise, I really don't know. Your settings are the same as everyone else's.
