    Hi Smallone,

Given your obvious distaste for this Pengelly, what is holding you back from telling us what you know?

If you have information that could help discredit him or help Trading Standards to prosecute or take action then please will you publish. His claims are absolutely outrageous and incredible. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

Actually, you are either saying too much or too little. All you have provided so far is innuendo, without any supporting facts.

Small One, if you have any disturbing information about Pengelly and can back it up with solid evidence, please get in touch with Gloucestershire and Herefordshire Trading Standards - or the police if it's VERY serious. Alternatively, send me a PM and I'll do it on your behalf.

    Re: Astonishing claims

I forgot to mention that Tangleblossom's snippet of info about Michael Holt, the puzzle book author, does indeed suggest that he is the person referred to by Pengelly. According to Wikipedia:

Michael Holt is a UK author of puzzle and quiz books for children, including several Doctor Who related quiz books and Crisis In Space in the Make Your Own Adventure with Doctor Who series. He was also the co-author of Puffin Books' Big Book of Puzzles series. He taught mathematics and geometry in London schools in the 1960s and 1970s.

Not exactly a science writer or physicist, then, unless Adrian was confused by the Dr Who connection...

However, one can get into trouble for saying too much online, and should be careful of what information is divulged and to whom. This is an interesting topic and I shall continue to see what unfolds and who discovers what.

Ahhh yes. I was a recipient of this book when I was younger, and if im honest, the guy could have done with the help of a few children, half of the puzzles were flawed or incorrect!!!
    Nowhere NEAR a scientist!

For those of you who do not know, Michael Holt is indeed dead.

On the note of speed it appears this man has a title and is a Sir and does bike racing. I wonder if he literally flies around the track with his amazing gifts and I wonder if he was knighted for his "free" work and for being so kind to walk and sqwark with the animals? Free work? Yeah right!

Indeed, he also has a "spirit guide", just like Derek Acorah (Not putting D.A down in any way, shape or form!)

I can't help wondering about his arrogant and dissmisive attitude towards conventional medicine. How many have followed this advice after being convinced by his outrageous claims and as a result are now dead ? there are plenty of people around the world who offer large substantial sums of money, MILLIONS are available to anyone who can prove they cure the incurable. Mr Pengelly does love other peoples money so why has he not claimed any of it ?
In his TV interview (BBC Midlands) he claims to have a 12 month waiting list, and "I don't even have to advertise" so why the new "slick" website ? is that not to generate even more interest and money ?

Lol there is no comparison ! D.A. is not claiming to cure cancer and he is at the very least, amusing !

"People have become abusive when the cure wasn't instant. In some cases people were angry when it took more than a few minutes. Others have offered large sums of money to move to the top of the waiting list, or even used intimidation to force their way there!"

There are several references as Julia pointed out to this man being disliked. Poor bloke seems to constantly be under attack I wonder why? Sir Adrian with your super powers..........Get another job thats safer and involves less threats

    Re: Astonishing claims

One minor point ... are we sure that the Adrian Pengelly we are discussing is the same one as the cyclist (with the knighthood) - not to mention the local government official, and any other occurrences of the name in Google? Pengelly isn't a particularly uncommon name, particularly in the south-west.
