Ade's in the "Sun"! And the people who have left comments aren't impressed....

    Hey Julia,

Just a brief note on one of my ever briefer visits at mo to say FAB! WELL DONE!

Haven't had time to look at the SCUM (actually would prefer not to give Murdy a hit..well actually I would if it was legal to do so).

Meanwhile here's another death 'threat' (actually it's a promise) for Pengelly. Hey man, you're gonna die (not by my hand I hasten to add). Just like the rest of us. Bet you can't cure yourself of that!
You cannae kid a kidder kiddo!

    That's not a threat, it's a promise.

Didnt plan on coming back but quickly wanted to share what I think could develop into an interesting thread. Particularly if Mr P responds. You may have to wade your way through his 1000,s (not) of supporters at some point

    I doubt it.
I heard someone parked a car too close to the telephone box they were having a strategy meeting in, and now they're trapped inside.
That's why they couldn't make it to the court case.
It's getting serious now, and if someone doesn't let them out soon, the real one might have to eat the imaginary one.

I've posted a comment - please feel free to add yours, gentle readers! At least with this one you don't have to faff about registering.

The letter is indeed odd and makes little sense.

Maybe the writer believes that you shouldn't be charged with drink driving unless you have harmed someone.

    Re: Adrian Pengelly: Astonishing claims

I've just e-mailed the Hereford Times to express my concern that not a single newspaper has bothered to publish the details of exactly WHY Pengelly ended up pleading guilty to three charges under the Cancer Act.

    Re: Adrian Pengelly: Astonishing claims

I'm in the process of making a new website devoted entirely to Pengelly's cancer-related claims. This isn't the final version but it'll give you an idea of what to expect. Suggestions and contributions welcome!

Looks great Julia. Just one suggestion, and that's to set the link to Pengelly's own website to open up in a separate window rather than navigate away from your own site. Other than that, super.

Julia…I must confess to being a little apprehensive when I saw your post earlier this evening about setting up your Pengelly Website…I was concerned you might have become a little too focused on this particular scum bag……but having just read the site I can see that it is going to be a reasoned, measured and professional account of your research. I apologise for doubting. I think it will be exemplary ,and a blue print for others to follow in the future…A sort of template on how to deal with these twisted predatory individuals….there are more of them out there… I suspect you don’t care about the approbation of others…but you done good girl…

Hi folks - Long time off again on again lurker, first time post

Firstly, I just wanted to express my admiration of those of you who persisted in your actions in getting this charlatan exposed for what he is, and also instigating actions that have lead to the recent court case.

I was horrified at what I saw on Watchdog of this mans activities, and then absolutely amazed, having read some background in him, that anyone would buy into his particular brand of snake oil.

    What seems unclear to me now is this;
    1. Is he still able to "practice" as a healer?
    2. I appreciate that his more outrageous and egregious website claims are removed, but are there any ongoing controls on what he offers his sacrificial victims when they visit? ( ie he could still tell the individuals that visit that he can successfully heal cancer etc? )
    3. For some reason, many of the general public seem to accept, unquestioningly ,anonymous testimonials as proof of concept - Does this recent judgement mean he has to offer evidence to support the testimonials he has on site?

I was hoping, I suppose, that the court case would mean an effective ban on his actions.

    Re: Adrian Pengelly: Astonishing claims

    Thanks, all.

I don't want to give the impression of being obsessed with Pengelly - unfortunately he's not unique, and no doubt I'll soon be investigating someone else. If anyone comes across a dodgy website please get in touch with me! But I thought it was vital that ALL the info on Pengelly should be available on a single website to counter the miserable failure of the print media in giving people access to the full story about him. So far as I know, not a single local or national paper has published details of exactly WHAT Pengelly was accused of. I've sent my "Pengelly file" to umpteen editors and journalists but they've ignored it. Few people know what the Cancer Act of 1939 is, which is why Pengelly was able to misrepresent it on his old site.

I've had an idea about how to deal with Pengelly's hysterical accusation that the "three disturbed individuals" who got him into hot water have also been responsible for sending threats of violence/death to him and his associates. More on that later.

I'm still very concerned about what may be going on at Pengelly's two clinics, particularly since he has made it clear that he treats children and the terminally ill. How many of these terminally ill people are suffering from cancer? If it's illegal for unqualified people to offer cancer treatment, you'd think it would also be illegal to actually give cancer treatment (especially if the "healer" insinuates that you should give up chemotherapy).

I'll take any suggestions on board when the new site takes its final form!
