Thread: Why I am voting BNP.

Re: Why I am voting BNP.

Rather worryingly I have some sympathy with bryan's position on this one. I don't see why any aspect of history should be excluded legally from examination and revision if the evidence indicates revision.

There is, however, a world of difference between an academic historian investigating, analysing and questioning the accepted version of a historic event whatever it may be and a bigot with an agenda deliberately twisting historical fact for their own ends.

How you would legislate against the latter (if indeed you should) without compromising the academic integrity of the former is beyond me.

There's a very similar issue when the question of race and intelligence test scores is considered...

    I totally agree.
I am not in favor of legislating against any form of enquiry. Any and everything should be open to question.
There are many ways of combating racist, ignorant bigots. We do not need to fear their foolish, unfounded arguments. We just need to show them for the short sighted, cowardly, made up nonsense that they are.

I'm sure others will debate with you.
So any historian can research WW2 and publish their findings. If those findings support the generally accepted Holocaust narrative, the author can distribute and even sell his publications. On the other hand, if those findings suggest there are serious anomalies in the generally accepted narrative, the author is likely to be arrested and charged for "Holocaust denial" and given a prison sentence. If that's not being gagged by the law, could you describe a situation where someone is being gagged by the law and point out the essential difference?

You are simply wrong and clearly do not understand what is meant by holocaust denial in the context of academic research. Try and get a copy of Robert Eaglestone's The Holocaust and the Postmodern. Have a look HERE and HERE.

The book appears to assume that the Holocaust is an established historical fact. That's not possible.

Abstract: This book argues that postmodernism, especially in the work of Emmanuel Levinas and Jacques Derrida, is a deeply engaged response to the Holocaust.

Why don't you try reading it, rather than reading the abstract?

Why don't you just tell us what "Holocaust denial in the context of academic research" means, rather than hide behind the work of authors who give more weight to anecdotes than to forensic investigation?

No. You clearly have no idea of what postmodernism is either.

I have given you an academically rigorous work as a reference to read if you are interested. I have no interest in the particular subject, never mind the debate, of holocaust denial. As a professional historian of a different field entirely, I was never gagged, which gives the lie to your claim that we are so silenced.

End of. Pick someone else to troll.

I'll stick with cubism, thank you.

It is unfortunate that a rather good thread has been spoilt by people trying to engage logically with a pathetic nazi troll. Bwyan drags every thread he posts on down to his moronic level and it is perhaps time for us to move on without him?

Re: Why I am voting BNP.

A rising star of the BNP has quit the party so he can expose Nick Griffin and his cronies for what they really are... incompetent racist thugs.

Ex-soldier Simon Nicholson joined the party in 2007, believing leader Griffin's claim that the party was no longer racist and would campaign on local issues.

He was even praised by Griffin when Simon came within 16 votes of overturning a 1,000-vote Labour majority on Cumbria County Council.

But after growing disillusioned with the party's racism, Simon agreed to work with the Sunday Mirror just before and during this General Election campaign. For nearly three months he kept a diary exposing the sickening racist extremism of BNP members and the true face of the party's far-right views.

Not a surprise really that bwyan is intending to vote for this lot.

Moving on without me means refusing to discuss the issue any more after you've been thoroughly trounced.

I agree the BNP are too islamophobic, but it's all relative and the three main parties are much more so.

Even you're not thick enough to believe that! You've made a fool of yourself every time you've posted. People here have run rings around you over and over again. All you can do in response is snivel and lie. There's only so much fun to be had from shooting fish in a barrel and it's time for you to piss off and let some other moron, preferably not a nazi moron, take their turn to be humiliated.
