If it works why couldn't he do it for the several locations she'd visited the previous day, as she was visiting them? Why does she need to take photographs and have a third person select the location at random? Then return to a location she's already been to? Hmmmm

If remote viewing works, what is the mechanism behind it?

If there is a mechanism behind how it works, ie - some sort of "astral projection" or telepathy, then there must be some measurable increase in brain activity and/or energy levels that can be measured.

If it works, then there should be evidence....I need to see / read peer-reviewed journal evidence that has been independently replicated across laboratories. So lets say, five independent studies documenting the effect. That would be a start.

If the studies are well controlled, valid and replicable, i see no reason why we should not consider these claims seriously. Unfortunately, 60 years of research has consistently failed on these three aspects.

However, I do think more research would be welcome from non-claimants (baseline) hit-rates as this has never really been done. I also dont think media clips are the best source of evidence!

I watched the clip and it's a very one-sided account.

Joe McMoneagle features, along with the Stargate project, in Jon Ronson's book The Men Who Stare at Goats.

In that clip they failed to mention that project Stargate was shut down as it was deemed to be worthless after the US military spent $20,000,000 on it.

These people believed that with the right frame of mind they could walk through walls or kill goats merely by staring at them.

As for the remote viewing...

It really is just about interpretation. A drawing with a curve, a horizontal or vertical line, mention of trees and water - well that describes just about anything.

I would be impressed if they could actually 'see' a specific target. Anything that's based on interpretation will leave room for doubt.

e.g. I'm seeing trees, parallel lines and a building.

Is that a country cottage with a tree in the garden and a path leading up to the door?

Is it an old, rural railway station?

Is it a museum next to a river?

The fact is it's all 3 and more!!
