Thread: Who likes proper sport?

    Re: Who likes proper sport?

I used to love football, I'll still watch it, but to be honest I would probably rather watch many other sports in preference. I don't know if it is a by-product of getting older, becoming more self-aware of critical thinking or something else, but rest assured there is so much nonsense talked about football by grown men. They can't even implement a water-tight set of rules into the game and 99% of people who talk about and are involved in the game don't even seem to know the laws that do exist. It's all very unsatisfactory I find.
Mousse from a bowl is very nice, but to put it on a person is demented!

I support Millwall, so you probably correct, not many football fans.

I also happen to be built more like a darts player, although not very good with arrows.

    Who likes proper sport?

If by proper sport then you mean snooker or golf, then me.

golf and snooker? they are pastimes, not sports. same as darts. we should get some better sports in the olympics - tug of war, bog snorkelling, cheese rolling, fox hunting - bettter than all that daft javelin chucking stuff (who on earth does that as a sport anyway?)

Bog snorkelling. I had to look that up...it is marginally better than than what I imagined.
Cheese rolling is a great spectator sport. People falling out of control at high speed down a mountain is always amusing.

The Aussie rules games are on espn or eurosport every so often, it would be a weekly round up style program with one full match as well, as for who i`d support, probably Geelong after watching them in the final, although we are hoping to emigrate to Adelaide in 5 or 6 years

I am not sporty at all. I ask the question, if Tiger Woods leaves golf, what difference to the world does that make? We have all heard of Tiger Woods however, as he can put a little white ball down a hole in the ground with great accuracy. Then there are people like Fred Sanger - two Nobel Prizes and not exactly a house hold name.

And all you do is eat carrots and say "what's up doc?"

After Bunny next changes avatar, people new to this forum, will think me mad.

    I'm a funny bunny

Actually the only reason I am posting is because I will have a full house on the "latest posts" listed at the bottom of the forum.

I play rugby every week still. (Back row or hooker)

I also work with a couple of rugby teams.

I follow munster rugby and Ireland.
basically i am a bit rugby obsessed.

    Hey, nice site

I prefer playing most sport, but I am not keen on spectating. I think football is over rated and slag mates that it's something about men watching sweaty men in shorts that I dont like.
