Lightning Process : Share experiences

Crikey..
Just joined and can see huuge post on LP.. I've seen a similar thing on lots of forums.. What i'd like to do is just ask for people that are already doing it, or are about to try LP to share experiences. I'm not really interested in people that don't like it or haven't done it, just people that have genuine experience with it. I'm due to try it in 2 weeks and wondered if I could share experiences with people?

Hi, Danny.

Yes, it will be interesting to hear your experience with this treatment.

What would be good would be to get an honest, first-hand account of this treatment - but, of course, that means reporting it accurately. i.e. if you find it good, then fine; but if there are aspects you don't like then say so as well.

Although we don't place a great deal of importance on anecdotal reports, it might be helpful to find out a bit more about this secretive treatment.

yes thats the idea i've had. Although I'm trying to avoid casting judgement on it being secreative or only in the mind or whatever. I simply what non-biased clear experiences. I've been trying to scan the net for LP blogs (and adding them to my blog). Pretty positive actually.

"I saw a friend last week and it appears that she went in for this "Lightning therapy" last year as she suffers from ME.

It cost her £550 (reduced from £660 - wow bonus

She showed me the documentation despite the fact that she wasnt supposed to tell anyone as its a big secret apparently, every sheet had "not to be reproduced, copied, etc anywhere else under pain of death" (ok the last bit wasnt on there - dont want to get sued for libel

To my mind what i read was just self confidence building, for instance you had to stop and speak to yourself when you felt bad, and give yourself a positive pep talk. While I didnt read through it 100% this seemed to be the main thrust of the course material so it appears that you are paying £500-£600 for something you could easily get from the NHS or any self help book (which would cost a lot less).

I asked her if the course came with any guarentees considering the cost but she said that it was mentioned that if it didnt work then it was your own fault and not the responsibility of the person who gives the course, so no surprise there then.

She said it didnt work anyway.

While that sort of confidence building may well be useful for some people I dont see the necessity of paying a considerable amount of money for something that can be obtained either free or £10 from most bookshops"

I suspect this is what JJ meant about being secretive, by the way if you want some negative comments to balance your blog, there are several on the LP thread here.
