    New Humanist magazine

May be of interest to forum members; New Humanist is now being distributed in some newsagents and branches of WHSmiths.
It is not easy to get a publication distributed in Smiths, and unless the magazine sells it won't stay there for long either. So, it may be worth supporting and trying a copy if you have an interest. Bearing in mind it will probably not be as prominently displayed as Hello, Nuts, or the reams of glossy BS....

Found and invested. I'm afraid first impressions are that it is neither fish nor fowl, not light enough to be just entertaining, not rigorous enough to be truly educational.

I think you might be right Pebble. Nothing really substantial enough to get your teeth into.
Still, I'm pleased to see such a publication on display in my local Smiths and so will give it a chance and pick it up for the next few issues at least.

It's why I stopped reading it on a regular basis, so I agree, Pebble. I found it frustrating more than anything.
