It was pretty straightforward, I won't write my solution but I will hint that I started and finished with the thief and the policeman.
I did a screen grab of them all cheering from the other side of the river as proof of my smarty pants status :)

Here's one of those awkward puzzles. It's in Japanese but here are the rules:
Everybody has to cross the river.
Only 2 persons on the raft at a time.
The father cannot stay with any of the daughters without their mother's presence.
The mother cannot stay with any of the sons without their father's presence.
The thief (striped shirt) cannot stay with any family member if the Policeman is not there.
Only the Father, Mother and the Policeman know how to operate the raft.
To start, click on the big! blue circle on the right.
To move the people, click on them.
To move the raft, click on the pole on the opposite side of the river.

Resident smarty pants then?
It's the fact that there's only one way to start the game (well first 2 moves) that gives it away.
It's a good one though.

It is a good one, I really enjoyed it.
What really amused me was the little animation I got if I tried to leave, say, the father with a daughter. A little leaf dropping and then SMACK! He whacks her over the head. What kind of family is this? :o
Shall we inform the Child Protection Agency?
Hang on. I think I'm getting carried away with my proactive enthusiasm.![]()
